Am I Happy Yet?

I have always wanted to make art that says something. This led me to want to make a mental health photo series.

Am I Happy Yet?

This piece is part one of three commenting on the over prescribing of drugs in America as well as how no matter how many anti-depressants are taken, they are not a cure, but an aide.

Taste the Rainbow

The second photo in the series commenting on the over prescribing of drugs in America as well as how no matter how many anti-depressants are taken, they are not a cure, but an aide.

It’s Raining Pills. Hallelujah.

The final of three pieces commenting on the over prescribing of drugs in America as well as how no matter how many anti-depressants are taken, they are not a cure, but an aide.

This is My Depression

While it doesn’t always look melancholy, sometimes depression does.

And This is My Depression

Depression doesn’t always look messy, sometimes it looks put together and is almost unnoticeable.

My Depression Wears Many Faces

Part one of three pieces commenting on masking mental illness. Sometimes pretending to be happy for others or just not wanting to be questioned about what is wrong every few seconds causes masks to be lifted.

Do I Look Happy Now?

Part two of three pieces commenting on masking mental illness. Sometimes pretending to be happy for others or just not wanting to be questioned about what is wrong every few seconds causes masks to be lifted.

Sometimes My Depression Just Looks Like My Face

The final piece of three commenting on masking mental illness. Sometimes pretending to be happy for others or just not wanting to be questioned about what is wrong every few seconds causes masks to be lifted. However, sometimes depression is unnoticeable.

I’m Not Alone in My Head

This piece is meant to comment on both the voices some hear in their heads, whether it be depression or anxiety or any other mental illnesses and on how it can feel as if you’re not alone in your head. It also doubles as saying we aren’t alone in our universe.

Overthinking

With anxiety comes always being in your head and overthinking every tiny thing. This cannot always be seen but, sometimes you can catch someone when they are in their head struggling to make decisions.
